Rotating DVD/CD Rack

Here is my solution to the limitations of my CD rack. It is somewhat larger in all dimensions. As the collection of cd's and dvd's has grown, even this is not larage enough!

This is built from plain sawn red oak, red oak plywood, some 1/4" red oak plywood, and MDF for the base. It stands about 5 feet tall and the base is 16.5 inches square.

The base is painted with gloss black. The rack itself is finished with a combination of Minwax stains and Minwax Gloss Polyurethane.

The shelves are somewhat adjustable. They can be positioned to hold either DVD cases or CD jewel cases. It can hold approximately 400 DVD's or 800 CD's or some combination of both.
