Round Oak Table

I built my kitchen table out of northern red oak. The top is solid oak about 7/8" thick and about 46" in diameter. I'd like to make a pedestal base but don't have a lathe (yet). For now, it sits on the base from an old table. The chairs are store bought.

The skirt was made using thin strips of oak, laminated and glued around a plywood form.

It was stained with Minwax Provincial stain and has about 5 coats of Minwax Polyacrylic water based poly covering it.
